More stable navigation and lesson dragging

Redirects no longer restart repeatedly while the next page loads. If lesson content changes just as a mouse or touch drag begins, the pending drag is cancelled safely so you can keep working. Browser translation protection also helps avoid errors from Google's translation engine on iOS.

Hungarian language support

Verbios is now available in Hungarian (Magyar). Switch your language from your profile settings to use the app interface in Hungarian.

More reliable page recovery

Verbios now asks browser translation tools to leave the app unchanged and attempts to reload once if page rendering fails because of a hydration or missing DOM node error. If the problem persists, the error screen explains how to turn off browser translation and reload.

Class answers without launching, and per-session lessons in a series

The class answer view now works even if you don't press Launch: during a class session, and from a lesson's "View as" menu, which now lists your classes whose students are enrolled in that lesson. Choosing a course or lesson for one session of a recurring series now just updates that session, without asking about the whole series or splitting it off. Also fixed: launching a lesson in a session that had no course now records it on the session.

Review a class's answers anytime, and distinct student colors

You can now pick a class in a lesson's "View as" menu, or open a past session from the class profile's new Session history, to see every member's answers block by block — no live session needed. Students now get their colors in the order you add them, so your first six students always have six different colors. Also fixed: changing the student on an existing session now saves, and numbers in text can be highlighted like any other word.

Type the Answer ignores capitalization

Type the Answer activities no longer mark an answer wrong just because of capital letters — "paris" now counts as correct for "Paris".

A daily word goal, and clearer status rules

Word practice now has a daily goal: 10 words per language, with its own practice queue for each language you're learning — finishing Spanish for the day doesn't touch your French queue. Once you've cleared everything due, you'll see "All done for today", with the option to keep practicing for extra XP (due words still get priority if there are more). Status rules are clearer too: two clean practice sessions in a row move a word from Learning to Learned; Learned words need four clean, due reviews in a row, each on a different day, to reach Mastered; and a mistake in two sessions in a row drops a word back one level.

A clearer, more colorful schedule

Every student and group now has their own color, used everywhere their avatar appears, and lessons on your schedule are filled with it so you can see who's next at a glance. The week view has a cleaner grid with a live "now" line, past lessons fade, no-shows are marked on the avatar, and busy time from Google Calendar shows as gray blocks. Your schedule now always displays in the time zone from your profile, with a note when your device is somewhere else. You can switch on availability hours in your profile: students can then only request lessons during those hours, and other times are grayed out on your schedule — you can still book lessons yourself at any time. Lessons are now at least 30 minutes long, and you can't double-book yourself. Badge colors were refreshed to match.

Smarter dictionary lookups for word forms

Highlighting a word form like "does" or "fue" now shows only the meanings that form actually has — no more unrelated senses borrowed from the base word — and the pronunciation and audio are for the exact form, not the base word. In the lesson highlight popup you can choose to save the form itself or its base word, and every meaning now starts unchecked so you pick exactly what gets saved. English pronunciations prefer American IPA and audio.

Word practice, redesigned

Practicing your saved words has a new picker with three modes: Guided (flashcards through typing, easy to hard), Random (a new word and exercise every screen), or a single exercise you choose from six types: flashcards, matching, multiple choice, letter order, type the word, and listen-and-type. Sessions use either translations or definitions, never a mix, and words get a real status — Learning, Learned, Mastered, or Trouble — that drives spaced reviews. Finish a session for XP, catch an optional bonus round for more, and keep a day streak going. Other small upgrades: recommended word audio fills in automatically when you save a word, IPA now displays in the American style, and you can turn practice sound effects off in your profile. This replaces the true/false and audio-matching exercises from the last update.
